According to his attestation papers dated February 1, 1916 at Mimico, Alfred Screaton of 12 Gerrard Avenue, Toronto was born on December 28, 1897 in Manchester, England. He listed his mother Mrs. Susie Screaton, 12 Gerrard Avenue, Toronto as his next of kin. He indicated that he was a computing clerk and that he was member of the 12th Regiment York Rangers. He was 18 years and 1 month old. He stood 5 feet 4 inches tall with blue eyes and fair hair and complexion. He was a Methodist.

According to his attestation papers dated January 18, 1916 at Mimico, Frederick Charles Shadwell of Mimico was born on May 14, 1894 in Portsmouth, England. He listed his mother, Mrs. Helen Shadwell, Humber Bay as his next of kin. He listed his occupation as a carpenter's helper. He also indicated that he belonged to the 12th Regiment, York Rangers and that he had had previous military experience with the 10th Royal Grenadiers, Toronto. He was 21 years and 8 months of age and stood 5 feet 7 inches tall. He had brown eyes and dark hair and complexion. He was a member of the Church of England.

According to his attestation papers dated February 2, 1916 at Mimico, James Hudson Shawcross was born on October 28, 1882 in Streetsville, Ontario. He listed his wife Jessie Shawcross, Burlington Road, Mimico as his next of kin. He was a watchmaker by trade and indicated that he had had 6 years previous military experience as a Sergent with the 2nd Dragoons. G. Slingsby
According this his first set of attestation papers dated December 1, 1914 at Toronto, Guilford Allain Slingsby was born on June 2, 1888 in Muneaton, Warwickshire, England. He listed his father Henry Slingsby, Muneaton, as his next of kin. He indicated that he was a farmer by trade and that he had had previous military experience with the "33rd C?S?". According to his attestation papers dated March 9, 1915 at Guelph, Wilfred Holmes Stevens was born on August 12, 1894 in Mimico. He listed his father Mr. C. H. Stevens as his next of kin. He was a farmer and had no previous military experience. He was 20 years of age and stood 5 feet 6 inches tall and had hazel eyes, brown hair and a medium complexion. He had a Buffalo Bill tatoo on his left forearm. He was a Methodist.

According to his attestation papers dated January 13, 1916 at Mimico Claude Lewis Victor Stoot was born on May 1, 1894 in Cambridgeshire, England. He listed his father, William Henry Stoot, Church Street, Mimico (present day Royal York Road) as his next of kin. He indicated that he was a labourer by trade and that he had had previous military experience with the 12th Regiment, York Rangers. He was 22 years of age and stood 5 feet 8 inches tall. He had blue eyes, brown hair with a fair complexion. He was a member of the Church of England.
He was a sapper with the 2nd Battlion, Canadian Railway Troops. He died on December 3, 1918 from influenza at the No. 12 Casualty Clearing Station, and is buried in the Busigny Communal Cemetery Extension in France.
Additional information from the Canadian Virtual War Memorial indicates that his mother's name was Emily Stoot and that they lived on Harold Street, Mimico in 1918.

He listed his mother Mrs. Emily Stoot, Church Street, Mimico as his next of kin. He listed his occupation as labourer and indicated that while he had no previous military experience he offered to join the 127th (CS) Battalion but was rejected due to bunions and varicose veins. He was 28 years and 1 month of age and stood 5 feet 10 1/2 inches tall. He had dark hazel eyes, dark brown hair and a medium complexion. He had scars on this right knee and on his left eyebrow. He was a member of the Church of England.

According to his attestation papers, dated April 16, 1915 at Hamilton, Nathan Telford was born on December 13, 1894 in Lancashire, England. He listed his father R. Telford, Vanevery Street, Mimico as his next of kin. He was a steeplejack by trade and had previous military experience with the 36th Peel. He was 20 years and 4 months of age and stood 5 feet 6 1/2 inches tall. He had blue eyes and fair hair and complexion. He had a scar on the right side of his neck. He was Presbyterian.
Nathan Telford, a sergeant in the Canadian Machine Gun Corps was killed on April 15, 1917 and is buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery, France.

According to his attestation papers dated February 18, 1916 at Mimico, James Glyn Thomas was born on November 21, 1883 at Beaumaris, Wales. He listed his wife, Mrs. Agnes Thomas, as his next of king living on Victoria Street, Mimico (this was later crossed out and 495 Dundas Street, Toronto was written). He was a mechanic by trade and indicated that he had previous military experience with the 12th Regiment, York Rangers. He was 32 years and 3 months of age and stood 5 feet 6 inches tall. He had brown eyes, black hair and a fair complexion. He was a member of the Church of England.
